How to recycle plastic bottles into water filters

A water filter based on activated carbon can be very expensive. In the UK, for example, a very simple one can be purchased at £30 each. However, you can make a better water filter without paying a penny. All you need is to recycle the plastic soda bottles which would otherwise be landfilled.
