Timor Sea Oil Spill and Earthquakes in the Coastal Zones across the Pacific

The recent earthquakes in the Coastal Areas across the Pacific and the oil spill in Timber Sea happened at almost the same time:

The sun has been recently very quiet with very few sunspots, ruling out any possible correlation between these earthquakes and solar activities.

There is a reason to suspect that these earthquakes might have been triggered by the nearby oil exploration activities.
