How to recycle plastic bottles into water filters

A water filter based on activated carbon can be very expensive. In the UK, for example, a very simple one can be purchased at £30 each. However, you can make a better water filter without paying a penny. All you need is to recycle the plastic soda bottles which would otherwise be landfilled. The following figure and URL point to article about a method of recycling plastic bottles into water filters. I wouldn't say this method is perfect. But at least, with this method, you can demonstrate to your friends how to go-green while travelling:

How to Grow Papaya Trees

Papayas are fast-growing plants. In Asia, it does not take longer than a year for young sprouts to develop into fruiting trees. Once their roots are well-developed, they have the ability to grow to an incredible height, keeping the fruits out of reach of the children.
